Customers are mixed about the sturdiness of the gun support. Some mention that it's light and solid, and has stood many hunts. The only downside (and the reason it gets only 4 stars for stability) is there is no basket on the point so it will sink into the ground. While that could let you drive it in to stand on it's own, you'll find your sights sinking lower and lower as the day goes on. I counteract the sinking with a little scrap of wood for the point to sit on. Overall, this has been a great addition to my hunting gear.

I`d like to have the same options as hiking sticks so the pointy end doesnt sink in the ground though.
I improvised for that :)
