Customers are mixed about the fit of the scope mount. Some mention that it fits very nicely, while others say that it didn't fit out of the box. The fit is unique and takes careful hands, patience, and a file. Some say that the bolt on their Norinco did not fit the grooves on the bottom side of the mount. It's also slightly too wide for the rest of the receiver, and the captive. It would not move as the inside of the cover was too small.

Customers are not satisfied with the appearance of the product. They mention that the paint is very cheap looking, the finish seems like semi gloss black paint, and the outside finish is not so good. Some say that the bluing on this in some spots looks like a nice copper patina. However, some customers feel the product is painted instead of blued and looks very cheap.

"...Its a shiny, black like it was painted with fingernail polish or something. Doesn't even come close to the original cover finish...." Read more

"...It is too glossy and the texture is not very smooth. It does not blend with the receiver very well as far as color/texture goes...." Read more

"As others have said the finish seems like semi gloss black paint and yes you do have to take a hand file and make it fit snugly to your specific gun..." Read more

If you buy this "PLEASE" take your time if you need to sand/file it. You need to do it little by little if you want it to be a nice tight fit. The tighter the fitment the less play and more accuracy you will get if you were to mount a scope/dot on your sKs. So file a little, then test. Do that a few times and you will love then end results trust Me! "ALSO" i advise you get a buffer for the dust/machine cover. That should reduce movement as well. My rifle has done lovely and I'm somewhat of a sKs nut so i always test my rifle every chance i get.
