  • Sentinel-A (automatic) truly never sleeps. A photosensitive sensor on the left side of the body provides dot brightness relative to ambient light conditions. There are no manual controls at all, no Shake ‘N Wake – no way for Sentinel-A to be accidentally shut off, ever. Install the CR2032 battery underneath Sentinel-A and you’re good to go for two years straight.

I bought my rest dot on March 30 put it on my gun thinking it was going to be a super cool upgrade…. Then I flipped up my iron sights to co-witness and that’s when the red dot decided to turn itself off and I can’t get it to come back on. I haven’t even had a chance to fire the gun before the sight stops working. The battery spot is to big and the batteries barely hold in place aswell . This product has not been dropped or damaged in any way out of box it works then stops working

For the price you can't go wrong with this optic. Fits great on my 43X. The lens is a good size and the green dot shines bright(adjust to personal liking). My only complaint would be replacing the battery would require you removing the optic. As the battery is under the bottom of the optic. Having the ability to change out the battery without removal would be the cherry on top. With that being said, Holosun is still top tier in my opinion. But, that doesn't take away how great this optic is for its price point. For the average owner this would be a great option.

This is by far the best sight I've used on the more budget end. The green dot I find alot easier on the eyes during the day and nicely crisp and visible at night. The "Shake and Wake" and powering on is instant which I love Incase of a self defense situation. After you shoot the dot is centered immediately, I found the cheaper red dots such as ADE are not reset instantly. The swampfox sentinel was zeroed in for my hellcat pro right out of the box which is awesome! My only complaint is the cover it comes with doesn't fit on the optic after installed. I had to take a razor and cut off some of it for it to fit. Other than that I found it an amazing optic. Very satisfied and glad I went with this vs the other brands such as holosun, or ade,

Second trip to the range today with this optic mounted to a 43x. First mag and it was still zeroed from previous trip. Second mag it started being way off target. It got to the point it wasn’t even on paper by the end of the second mag. I check for it being loose and that wasn’t the issue. It’s going in the trash. I this is unacceptable that this is even happened. That’s my first and last swampfox purchase.

When you're in good lighting it's ok. Any type of darkness at all and the dot is gone. My trijicon night iron sights have a brighter glow than this sight in the dark. It is so pathetic. However, the size of the sight is good. it fits a 43x like perfectly with roughly .017" of over hang on each side, measured with spark plug gap set. I believe if this was the manual version, which I absolutely will buy, I would be very happy. My 43x slide was milled to fit this sight, you might need an adapter if you have the 43x Mos version.
