Beretta-owned Finnish rifle maker Sako announced last week they are delivering an unspecified quantity of their top-shelf TRG M10 multi-caliber sniper systems to the New York Police Department’s elite response them, the Emergency Service Unit.

A bolt-action rifle with a fully adjustable right-folding stock, the TRG M10 is produced in .308 Winchester, .300 Win Mag, and .338 Lapua Mag, but it isn’t known what caliber NYPD is going with– although .308 seems the most likely for sniper/counter-sniper work in Gotham.

The commercial price on the rifle starts at $11,275, without optics, so you can only imagine what kind of green the Big Apple had to cough up to play Sako.

Speaking of optics, Beretta owns Steiner, so it is further likely that some big German-made glass was thrown in with the deal.
